Installation
- Geocil Weedmat can be cut to any size required easily with scissors or a knife with no risk of fraying.
- Prepare the area to be covered by removing weeds and grass. This can be done by weeding or spraying, but to ensure complete success, all weeds such as oxalis, kikuyu, couch and other types must be thoroughly removed.
- Cut the Geocil to fit the size required and lay over prepared ground.
- If plants are to be planted through the fabric, cut a cross slit large enough for the plant roots and place plant in prepared hole. Backfill and pin edges of weedmat back .
- The weedmat may be held down using plastic or wire weedmat pins.
- Once the area is covered, lay landscaping materials such as bark, pebbles, shells, scoria or other suitable mediums to cover the weedmat.
